NVDA not reading context menus in windows 7

hello all. I've just installed NVDA since it appears to be less of a resource hog than JAWS when I'm working with Reaper (audio editing software). The problem I'm having with it is it will not read many of the context menus I employ, both in reaper, as well as various applications in windows, including the desktop. It also won't read items in the navigation pain in windows explorer, such as my computer, documents, downloads and music. Support for NVDA appears very hard to come by. Has anyone experienced these issues? And would anyone hapen to ahve a solution to offer?

In case it matters, I'm using a Dell Laditude with Windows 7, and the dreadful Intel HD graphics chipset; 8GB ram at 2.7 GHZ.

Thank you very much.

In the hopes I'm not alone with this issue I am bumping this topic up. I have researched it and found nothing. I've had this problem with two different computers. Since nobody else seems to have a problem with NVDA, I'm wondering if it's just my magnetic personality.
